Using a mixture of group discussions, practical exercises and classroom style teaching, I will give you all the basic knowledge required to create the most efficient timetables, vehicle workings, crew duties and rosters.
During the 2-day course, we cover the follow subjects;
An Introduction to Scheduling
Exploring scheduling and its place in the business; asking, “why do we schedule?” and getting to know the scheduling process.
Timetables & Vehicle Scheduling
Asking the big questions; What is a timetable? How do we calculate resource requirements? How do we deal with different running times or different headways?
Crew Duty Scheduling
Learn how to create crew duties without a computer, whilst maintaining the fine balance between efficiency and operability.
Crew Rostering
Exploring everything that should be considered when creating the most efficient set of crew rosters.
Anyone attending the course will receive a full copy of course notes, with detailed explanations of the topics and methodologies discussed, along with additional practical exercises to help develop their knowledge further.
This course can be delivered at your own offices, and is suitable for groups of between 2 & 15 attendees.
